Day 1: Chiang Khong – Houeisay – Pakbeng (L/D)

Upon arrival at Houeixay border from Chiang Khong (Thailand), after crossing Mekong river, your Laotian tour guide will transfer you directly to the local pier. Embark on a traditional boat to Pakbeng. En route, stop over to visit Lao Lu at Ban Pak Tha and H’Mong village at Ban Houei Lumpane.

Lunch on board. Arrive in Pakbeng end of afternoon and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and accommodation at hotel

 

Day 2: Pak Beng - Pak Ou caves – Luang Prabang (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Embark on a traditional boat to Luang Prabang. En route, stop over to visit Ban Khok Ek, a traditional Lu village, and the sacred Buddha cave of Tham Ting and Tham Phoume where enshrine a hundred of Buddha statues.

Lunch on board. After lunch, continue on excursion by boat to Luang Prabang and stop over to visit Ban Thin Hong, a Lao Loum village. Arrive Luang Prabang and transfer to the hotel for check in. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

 

Day 3: Luang Prabang (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit of the old city. Start your visit with Vat Vixoune influenced by Thai- Lu architecture and That Makmo, the watermelon shape stupa. Proceed to Vat Mai with its five tiered roof and exquisite carved veranda Take a walk in the old city and visit Vat Sene, the perfect place to pray or meditate.

Lunch at “L’Elephant” restaurant. Afternoon continue your visit with Vat Xieng Thong the most beautiful temple of Luang Prabang dating back from 16th century. The roofs of the Sim sweep low to the ground and glass colored panels adorn the walls of the chapels. Climb up to Phousi hill with its outstanding view over the city, its surroundings and the Mekong. Dinner at “Tamnak Lao” restaurant. Accommodation at hotel.

 

Day 4: Luang Prabang – Kuangsi. (B/L/D)

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion by car to Kuangsi waterfall (30 kms). On the way, visit Hmong village at Ban Na Ouane and Khmou village at Ban Tha pen.Enjoy the beautiful scenery, swimming or relaxing nearby the clear pools of the tiered limestone formations. Picnic lunch nearby waterfall.Back to Luang Prabang in afternoon and time at leisure in the old city. Dinner and accommodation at hotel.

 

Day 5: Luang Prabang – Vientiane (B/L/D)

Breakfast at hotel. Visit local fresh market and proceed to the national museum (the former royal palace). Transfer to the airport for departure to Vientiane. Arrival in Vientiane and transfer to restaurant. Lunch at local restaurant.

Afternoon visit the highlights of Vientiane: Vat Sisaket, the oldest temple in Vientiane with its mural paintings, Ho Prakeo, the royal temple turned religious museum. Proceed to That Luang stupa, the most revered shrine in Laos and Patouxay (the Arch of Triumph). If time permits stop at Talat Sao the big central market. Dinner at Kua Lao restaurant with traditional music and dances. Accommodation at hotel

 

Day 6: Vientiane - Departue (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Transfer to airport for check in and depart to your next destination. End of service
